Choice Medical

Choice Medical is a locally owned Ames supplier where customers can examine mobility and home medical equipment in a substantial showroom. Since opening in 2002, the business has stocked power scooters, power and manual wheelchairs, lift chairs, and walking aids, along with Pride mobility products. It also supplies hospital beds, bathroom safety equipment, respiratory devices, and CPAP accessories for everyday care at home.

An important part of the service is maintaining equipment after the sale. Choice Medical performs repairs in-house, including many warranty jobs, and technicians have helped troubleshoot stair-lift problems by telephone or text. The team can explain features, arrange delivery and setup, and discuss different payment or insurance arrangements before an order is made. That mix of selection and follow-up assistance matters for equipment customers rely on throughout the day.

Founder Kevin Henning established the company as a community business, and its Philadelphia Street suite continues to serve the Ames area. Weekday hours are published for the store. The scooter products offered here are powered mobility aids, so customers seeking recreational scooters should look elsewhere; users needing a particular mobility device can contact the team about fit, support, and repair options.
