The Chain Link Bicycle Shop

The Chain Link Bicycle Shop is as much a gathering point for New Braunfels riders as it is a place to purchase a bike. Established around 2012, the North Castell Avenue store carries mountain, road, hybrid, and electric bicycles and maintains a workshop that services different makes and models.

Riders with something unusual in mind can discuss custom builds, while owners of older bikes can bring them in for repairs or a more thorough refresh. Customers have described quick tube changes, helpful mechanical explanations, and thoughtful work on well-used mountain bikes. The repair counter sometimes gets busy, reflecting the breadth of jobs passing through the shop.

The social side matters too. Weekly group rides bring people together outside the store, and the pet-friendly atmosphere gives the place an informal, local character. It's a combination that can make a first visit feel less like a retail transaction and more like joining a cycling community.

Whether a customer wants to explore electric bicycles, revive an older ride, or meet other cyclists, The Chain Link offers both technical support and a neighborhood connection from its downtown New Braunfels location.
