The Bicycle Cellar

The Bicycle Cellar has a long history in Simsbury, where its Hopmeadow Street location sits beside a popular rail-trail route. Founded by Walter Rochfort III, the shop has grown into a local cycling fixture with bicycle repairs, electric-bike sales, rentals, parts, and accessories. Its location makes it a natural stop for riders travelling along the trail as well as residents looking after their own bikes.

The workshop handles bicycle servicing and provides support around e-bike assembly and setup. One customer who ordered an electric bicycle online described having it assembled earlier than expected, with clear communication and a careful explanation of how the finished bike worked. The shop also installs accessories, which helps customers equip a new ride for everyday use.

The Bicycle Cellar connects a traditional repair-shop background with the growing interest in electric cycling. Riders can ask about equipment, arrange maintenance, or explore rental options without going far from the local trail network. Its longstanding presence in Simsbury gives the business a particular connection to the area's cycling community, while its services address both conventional bicycles and newer electric-assist models.
