Rib Mountain Cycles

Rib Mountain Cycles is a full-service bicycle shop at 4001 Rib Mountain Drive in Wausau, operating since 1997 and located near Rib Mountain State Park. The shop sells road, mountain, and electric bicycles from brands including Specialized and Rocky Mountain, with electric models such as the Specialized Turbo Como, Vado, and Tero among its offerings.

Its service department performs tune-ups and repairs on bikes of all brands and lists in-house suspension and hydraulic rebuilds as a specialty not commonly found at other local shops. The business also offers Body Geometry bike fitting and bicycle rentals, and it organizes family-friendly events and weekly training rides for area riders. Owner Randy and staff member Zak take time with beginners, and the shop has provided flat repair instruction and arranged rentals for rides out to the Nine Mile Recreation Area.

Communicated wait times and prepaid parts have occasionally not lined up on service visits. The shop keeps a selection of parts and accessories in stock and serves riders headed to the region's trail systems.
