REI - Timonium

REI's Timonium location combines a substantial outdoor-equipment store with a bicycle workshop on West Aylesbury Road. The service team works on mountain, road, hybrid, and electric bikes, offering inspections, tune-ups, and repairs as part of the co-op's larger commitment to getting people outdoors.

Customers have described the bike-shop staff taking time to care for e-bikes, including a tune-up that made one rider enthusiastic about using the machine again. The store's product departments also receive praise for generally knowledgeable and friendly assistance, although not every visit has gone smoothly when a specific item or display model was involved.

The published bike-shop offering includes estimates, custom work, and maintenance suited to different bicycle types. Co-op membership has also been associated with a service discount. Shoppers can combine a mechanical appointment with browsing the store's broader selection of outdoor gear and cycling accessories.

For Baltimore County cyclists, REI Timonium offers the resources of a large retailer with an on-site repair counter. Its electric-ride work centers on e-bikes, making it more relevant for bicycle maintenance than for specialized gas-scooter or standing e-scooter repairs.
