Rad Cycles

Older motorcycles and scooters can require parts that are difficult to find through a modern dealership. Rad Cycles, on Nicholson Drive near LSU in Baton Rouge, has built a repair and parts operation around that problem as well as everyday servicing. The independent shop works on scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs, with a mix of current components and used or salvage stock for machines no longer well supported by manufacturers.

Tire selection is a particularly visible specialty. Brands associated with the shop include Dunlop, Michelin, Bridgestone, Metzeler, Shinko, Continental, Kenda, Maxxis, and others. The parts shelves also cover chains, sprockets, brake components, batteries, clutches, bearings, cables, filters, and levers, combining general upkeep items with harder-to-source replacements.

Rad Cycles has a long history with Baton Rouge's metric-bike community. Its published service schedule runs Tuesday through Friday, with shorter Saturday hours. For someone keeping an uncommon scooter in service or simply looking for a suitable tire or component, the independent inventory and repair bench offer a different option from a new-vehicle showroom.
