Mobility Specialists

Mobility Specialists is a durable medical equipment supplier at 610 Magnolia Avenue in Auburndale that has been in business for approximately 23 years under William Mac Vanderpool Jr. The company is enrolled as a Medicare supplier and participates in Medicare's Competitive Bidding Program for the Lakeland-Winter Haven service area, with product categories covering standard power and manual wheelchairs, power operated vehicles such as mobility scooters, and related accessories.

In addition to scooters and wheelchairs, the business carries blood glucose monitors, canes and crutches, commodes, CPAP equipment, hospital beds, patient lifts, seat lift mechanisms, support surfaces, TENS units, and walkers. Its insurance-based model centers on Medicare assignment for qualifying mobility equipment, and customers are advised to contact the company directly to discuss coverage questions and equipment needs before visiting.

The office is open Monday through Friday, and the same phone number is associated with Rehab Medical's Winter Haven branch, suggesting a business relationship between the two entities.
