Metropolis Cycles

Metropolis Cycles is a Ferndale bicycle shop on Livernois Street known for more than ordinary retail bike sales. Alongside conventional and electric bicycles, the shop takes on custom wheel builds, complete custom bicycles, and detailed mechanical work for riders with specific equipment goals.

Staff explain component choices and help customers understand how a proposed build will suit their riding style. Ted is mentioned in customer accounts for his technical knowledge and careful approach to bike work. That expertise gives the shop a role for enthusiasts who want something more individual than a standard machine from a showroom floor.

The repair bench also handles tune-ups, adjustments, and other mechanical jobs. For riders who depend on a bicycle for transportation, the original description mentions service scheduling that takes everyday use into account. Custom projects and ordinary upkeep therefore share space within the same workshop.

Metropolis Cycles serves Ferndale and nearby Detroit communities with a distinct enthusiast-oriented character. Its documented specialties are bicycles, electric bikes, wheel building, and repair, rather than motor-scooter service.
