Hall Bicycle Company

Hall Bicycle Company on Second Avenue SE is the downtown Cedar Rapids shop the review trail calls the place to go for a bike or bike support. ' reads one account, and the service stories back it up: a tire repair handled fast, tune-ups and assembly done right. The shop sells new bikes across road, mountain, commuter, and kids' lines, with the service department handling the repair queue.

The downtown location puts it on the route of the city's bike commuters, and the showroom has room for a full range of sizes to try. The staff take questions seriously and stay honest about what a rider needs. The store's longevity shows in the details: mechanics who have seen every standard come and go, and a parts wall stocked for the bikes the shop sold decades ago.

For Cedar Rapids riders who want a real service bench and people who know the work, Hall is the fixture.
