Flythe's Bike Shop

Flythe's Bike Shop on Trent Road has served New Bern's cycling community since 1977 as an independent shop built around bicycle sales, service, and rentals. The floor stocks bicycles and e-bikes from brands including Giant, Diamondback, Haro, Raleigh, and Trailmate, with step-through and comfort e-bike models available. Staff help buyers compare models and talk through practical differences before a purchase, and the service bench takes on repairs large and small, from brake pads and rotors to drivetrain adjustments and full tune-ups.

Electric kick-scooters come in for repair work as well. The rental fleet covers cruisers, hybrids, road bikes, and off-road bikes, and the shop provides free delivery and pickup within seven miles of the store, including hotel drop-offs for visiting riders. The team also makes house calls for minor fixes when a customer cannot get to the shop.

Hours run Tuesday through Saturday, and the store is closed Sunday and Monday.
