Downtube Bicycle Works & Cafe

Downtube Bicycle Works & Cafe blends bicycle retail with a café on Madison Avenue in Albany. Customers can shop for cycling equipment and take time for a drink in the same setting, giving the business a more social atmosphere than a typical parts counter. It is also listed as a Levy Electric partner carrying recreational standing scooters.

The Levy range featured for this location includes the Original and Plus models, both designed around removable batteries. The partner program describes test rides, scooter sales guidance, parts, accessories, and maintenance or repair support. That broadens the shop's two-wheel offering beyond conventional bicycles and makes it relevant to Albany customers exploring a small electric commuter.

Downtube Bicycle Works & Cafe operates at 466 Madison Avenue and lists (518) 434-1711 for inquiries. Its website is downtubebicycleworks.com. Customers interested in a Levy scooter should ask about current stock or service appointments, since the available information does not confirm an up-to-date daily schedule. The combination of cycling, scooters, and a café is the storefront's distinctive appeal.
