Donnell's Motorcycles

Donnell's Motorcycles has operated in Independence since 1965, making it one of the area's longstanding family-owned powersports dealerships. The business offers Honda scooters as a distinct part of its inventory, with the Metropolitan among the models listed. The wider showroom also serves motorcycle and other powered-vehicle buyers.

Its parts and service departments are central to the dealership. The workshop handles full maintenance visits and electrical diagnosis, while the parts counter supplies original manufacturer components, including Suzuki products. That combination can matter for scooter customers who prefer a shop capable of ongoing dealership service rather than a sale with no local support.

There is a strong sense of history in customer experiences. Some riders have described returning to Donnell's for decades, with family connections to the business reaching back to its earliest years. Chris and owner Bart have been mentioned for patient shopping assistance, alongside a long-serving team across sales, parts and service.

The store is at 17851 East US Highway 40 in Independence. For Kansas City-area riders interested in a Honda Metropolitan or another powersports vehicle, Donnell's combines a familiar family dealership with parts and mechanical support.
