Dogspeed Cycles

Dogspeed Cycles is an independent East Austin bicycle shop with a focus on repairs, rentals, and the everyday needs of people who ride regularly. Located on East Cesar Chavez Street, it works on conventional bicycles and e-bikes, giving local commuters another option for mechanical help close to home.

The shop has built a personal reputation through service details. Owner Tim is remembered for helping a customer buy tires after normal hours, while other accounts describe careful derailleur adjustments and bottom-bracket work. Even a rider passing through Austin on a longer trip found practical assistance for a bicycle that needed attention.

Dogspeed also offers rentals, adding a way for visitors or locals without their own bike to get rolling. A pet-friendly atmosphere and approachable staff contribute to the neighborhood-shop feel, rather than the formality of a large branded dealership.

Early published opening hours are another distinctive feature, potentially helpful for people who want to arrange a repair around their commute. Based at 1619 East Cesar Chavez Street, Dogspeed combines bicycle maintenance, e-bike support, and rental options in an independent setting where personal service is part of the experience.
