Brooks' Bike Shop

The Covington store of Brooks' Bike Shop sits on East Gibson Street, minutes from the Tammany Trace trailhead. When a rider brought in a vintage Fuji for restoration, the staff talked through the project honestly — what was worth saving, what was not — and helped source the right parts. The shop rents, sells and services bikes for the Trace crowd: hybrids and comfort bikes for the trail, road bikes for the faster group rides, and kids' bikes for family outings.

The service department handles the flat fixes, tune-ups and overhauls that trail miles demand. The rental fleet lets visitors ride the Trace without hauling a bike, and the mechanics keep the fleet in the same condition as the sales floor. As a locally owned multi-store operation, the Covington location shares inventory and mechanics with its sister shops.

Accessories, helmets and the small parts that break mid-ride are stocked on the wall. The Gibson Street storefront is the natural stop before or after a Trace ride.
