Bear Trail Bikes

Bear Trail Bikes in Rifle sells e-bikes from several brands and has advertised Colorado credit-based purchase promotions with extended fulfillment periods. The company built its name around the Colorado e-bike tax credit, advertising a program that combined the $225 state credit with a store credit to offer a no-cost e-bike to qualifying Colorado residents, with pickup available only in Rifle or Lakewood and estimated fulfillment of six to twelve weeks.

Its lineup includes the Ursus Cub commuter alongside models from Velotric and Aventon, such as the Fold 1 Plus, Nomad series, Summit 1, Level 2, Abound, and Aventure fat-tire bikes, plus the Velotric Triker electric tricycle. Every e-bike carries a 30-day limited warranty and a 30-day return policy for unused bikes, and the shop can be reached at (970) 404-2229 or [email protected].

Public posts about the business describe contrasting experiences: numerous posts describe months-long waits for ordered bikes and difficulty reaching anyone about order status or cancellations, and a 2026 local news report documented customers waiting half a year or more, while several in-person visitors describe helpful staff and smooth same-day pickups at the Rifle shop.
