Appleton Bicycle Shop

Appleton Bicycle Shop has operated on South State Street since 1939, remaining in the Hinzman family across generations. Its business combines a traditional neighborhood bicycle store with modern models, including Specialized and Giant bicycles and electric options such as the Specialized Turbo Como. The shop serves Fox Valley cyclists who value a longstanding local service relationship.

The original listing includes an account of an older Trek receiving new components and additional adjustments before being returned to the customer. Other riders describe approachable staff and useful guidance in sales and repair discussions. Its workshop maintains conventional bicycles across brands, with service also described for the electric lines sold by the store. The source does not confirm support for every third-party battery or motor system.

The downtown Appleton location offers a place to discuss bicycle sizing, accessories, maintenance, and repairs before a commute or recreational ride. Customers considering an electric bike can ask about current models and what support is available later. Existing owners should provide the model and symptoms when booking, especially if work involves electrical components rather than routine mechanical adjustments.
