REI Timonium at 63 West Aylesbury Road is the outdoor co-op’s Baltimore County store, combining a full-service in-store bike shop with the co-op’s vast outdoor retail floor. REI’s own bike-shop page describes expert technicians offering a comprehensive range of services to tune, repair, and enhance the performance of mountain, road, hybrid, and e-bikes, with free inspections and estimates, custom services, and quick turnaround; co-op members receive 20 percent off bike-shop services. One shopper brought in an e-bike for a tune-up and got back a machine that is fun to ride again, with thanks to the staff for taking good care of the bike; assistance across departments runs friendly and knowledgeable from the gear floor to the bike counter. On the other hand, one visit was a wasted trip over an incomplete floor-model bag and unhelpful product knowledge. Store hours run Monday through Saturday 10am to 8pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. The bike shop can be reached at (410) 252-5920.
