REI’s Cincinnati store at 2643 Edmondson Road brings the outdoor co-op’s full-service bike shop to the city’s east side, where trained technicians tune, repair, and enhance mountain, road, hybrid, and e-bikes. The shop’s official service menu spans bike checks and signature tunes through wheel trues, derailleur installs, and e-bike-specific service, with co-op members receiving 20 percent off bike shop services and every rider offered a free inspection and estimate. The bike shop staff diagnose problems, teach riders to solve them, and do consistently great work on a variety of bikes and components — one tuned-up bike rode like new after a membership-discounted service. By contrast, one rider had a gear-shifting problem blamed on an unrelated issue by the bike manager. Beyond the bike shop, the store draws customers for its wide outdoor selection, generous return policy, and member sales. The Edmondson Road store serves Cincinnati’s east side near the Oakley and Hyde Park neighborhoods, a convenient stop for riders combining errands with a tune-up.
