Murdock’s Bicycles & Sports brings full-service bicycle retail to downtown Oswego from 177 West 1st Street, where owner Greg is the face of the business. The shop runs a full-service repair center handling maintenance on conventional bicycles and electric bikes, including adjustments on e-bikes purchased online, and carries a selection of bicycles, clothing, parts, and accessories. Accounts of the business center on Greg’s personal attention: honest advice, fair pricing, quick turnarounds, and a willingness to order the right bike or component when it is not on the floor, with several riders noting repairs were completed while they waited. That hands-on approach has earned loyalty in a market where big-city shops are an hour away. The store also stocks gear for outdoor recreation beyond cycling. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed Sunday. It can be reached at (315) 342-6848, and the website is murdockssports.com.
