Island Bicycles at 929 Truman Avenue has served Key West for more than 25 years as a full-service bicycle shop offering sales, service, and rentals. The shop stocks beach cruisers, hybrids, Giant road bikes, and pedal-assist electric bicycles including the Rad Runner, and its rental bikes come with helmets, locks, and lights. The business delivers bicycles to hotels and vacation rentals around the island and collects them at the end of a stay, and it has shipped a purchased e-bike to a customer relocating to the mainland. Its service department handles repairs ranging from brake adjustments and new tires to straightening a bent brake rotor for touring cyclists passing through town. The shop supplies an electric bike charger with its e-bike rentals and swaps out rental bikes when mechanical problems arise. The Truman Avenue storefront sits in a central Key West location with free parking and wheelchair-accessible facilities. The shop also carries skateboards and cycling accessories. Walk-ins are welcome, and the staff helps visitors choose among cruisers, tandems, and e-bikes for exploring the island.
