Herbert’s Mobility has served Charleston from Ashley River Road since 1956, presenting itself as the first name in mobility devices and medical supplies in the city. The company sells Pride Mobility scooters, ranging from the compact Go-Go portable models to the full-size Pursuit all-terrain scooter, and it markets Jazzy power chairs for customers who need powered seating. Its product line also includes Golden Technologies lift and recline chairs, vehicle lifts, ramps, wheelchair accessories such as cushions and covers, braces and supports, and home medical supplies such as hosiery and hot-and-cold therapy products. Beyond sales, the business provides service and rentals of wheelchairs, scooters, and lift chairs, and its staff emphasize personal attention to each customer’s mobility needs. The company notes that the products previewed online are only a small portion of what the store carries, and customers can call or email to check availability of a specific item. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the store closed on Saturdays. The business can be reached at (843) 571-1515, by fax at (843) 571-7880, or by email at sales@herbertsmobility.com.
