Mike’s Team Active Bikes

Mike’s Team Active Bikes is a full-service cycling shop at 22 W Michigan Ave in downtown Battle Creek, selling road, mountain, gravel, hybrid, and kids bikes alongside electric models from brands such as Specialized and Cannondale, with in-house repairs, Retul bike fitting, and an indoor track for test rides. Written accounts repeatedly describe owner Mike and the staff as knowledgeable mechanics and friendly people who take time to fit riders and explain maintenance. Cyclists passing through town tell of being helped with shifter problems on the spot, including one group riding from Indianapolis to Mackinac and a pair riding coast to coast. The shop hosts group rides and hands-on maintenance workshops, and stocks accessories from Thule and Sidi. One long-time customer wrote that the staff once brought a 30-year-old bike back to life nearly free of charge, while another recent account expressed disappointment that a follow-up shifting adjustment would be billed for inspection. Store hours are Monday through Friday 10 to 6 and Saturday 10 to 5.
