Pedal Power operates a storefront at 2514 Union Avenue in Altoona as a full-service bicycle shop combining sales with a repair bench for tune-ups, brake work, and routine maintenance on conventional bikes and e-bikes. The shop’s listed offerings span Trek bicycles across mountain and e-bike lines, Electra electric models, Levy electric scooters, BMX hardware, and a broad accessories wall, with the business presenting itself as a one-stop shop. Staff are described as knowledgeable and patient, handling requests from brake repairs to guiding a first-time cyclist toward the right bike, and owner Tom Lauver is the point of contact for sales and service. Recent feedback covers a prompt brake fix at a fair price, years of fast and friendly service from a repeat shopper, and a correct diagnosis on a Gazelle Arroyo accessory problem that another shop had missed, alongside a long-running account of three visits for children’s bike repairs. Hours run Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, closed Sundays, and the shop can be reached at (814) 942-4537.
