HawkGuy The BikeGuy is a mobile bicycle repair operation run by Willis from 103 South 4th Street in Guthrie Center, bringing at-home service to the Guthrie County side of the Des Moines metro. The published offerings include e-bike mechanical repair, tune-ups, and wheel truing, and the business bills itself as the home of the $80 bicycle tune-up. Because the mechanic comes to the customer, e-bike owners in Guthrie Center and the surrounding area can get electric-bike service without loading the bike into a car. The phone number is (641) 740-7643, and hours are Sunday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. As a mobile operation, the business is a repair-only entry: parts needed for a job are extra, and the business does not carry the parts-and-accessories retail category. The mobile model makes it a distinctive option for e-bike tune-ups and mechanical work on the western edge of the metro.
